AirSafe™ TOUCH Blower Control
Independence™ includes three methods of blower control: Automatic, Manual and High/Low. All are reached via the "Blower" quick key on the Main Controls screen.
Automatic Blower Control
Allows user to set desired face velocity from 30 to 150 linear feet per minute (LFM) or .15 to .75 Meters per second (M/s). Blowers will ramp up or down to maintain face velocity based on input from the proprietary AirSafe™ TOUCH airflow sensor embedded in the ductless fume hood.
Approved user can set sample rate to compensate for laboratories with problematic airflow conditions as found near an air conditioning outlet.
Manual Blower Control
In manual mode the user can set a percentage of maximum blower capacity. Regardless of sash position or operator interaction the blowers will maintain the preset velocity from 0-100% of maximum.
High/Low Blower Control
User can set and remember two sash positions. When either of these sash positions is reached the blower will go to a user preset value. Normally, high and low values are set. This feature is particularly important when valuable materials are being measured in the hood.
