Developed for working with potentially hazardous samples during DNA amplification, the PCRSafe™ recirculating enclosure provides protection to both sample and operator. Airborne contaminants are captured in HEPA filtration before entering the active workspace. The exhaust air is HEPA filtered so harmful particulate is not released into the room.
PCRSafe is constructed of white polypropylene which does not allow for bacterial build-up and can easily be cleaned with any disinfectant product. To further reduce the threat of cross-contamination, the built-in timed UV light can be used to irradiate work surfaces and tools between samples or cases.
Full-closure sash and safety switch prevent operator exposure to UV energy.

Room air enters and is pulled into the lower baffle along with a portion of the chamber air. Air travels through the lower baffle and up the rear baffle.
Chamber air is mixed with room air.
Contaminated air is directed through the filtration bed.
The majority of air moves through the HEPA filter which provides ISO 5 clean air to the chamber.
Remaining air is HEPA filtered and exits the enclosure.
